The ATRC RACE (Research, Academic and Community Engagement) Award - Prof. Tej Vir Singh Award for Excellence in Research 2022 is an award given to an exceptional tourism and hospitality educator for their significant scientific and outstanding contributions in the areas of research, academic involvement, and community engagement.

The evaluation of the nominees is based on the past five years of achievements. The nominees will be screened by a panel of international experts based on the following criteria

Excellence in Research Involvement
Evidence of research involvement, publications in peer-reviewed, high impact journals, and scholarly activities that support research and innovation.
Academic Involvement
Overall excellence in academic responsibilities of a faculty member including teaching, scholarship, service and/or professional activity.
Teaching
Evidences in diversity, innovation and quality teaching pedagogies shall be submitted including but not limited to, Faculty performance report, Number of years in Teaching service, Teaching awards etc.
Scholarship
Evidence of quality scholarship including but not limited to scholarship of discovery, integration, application, teaching, and artistic endeavor and scholarship grants and certifications.
Service
Evidence of service to the department, school, college, profession, and the community.
Professional Activity
Evidence of continued professional engagement.
Community Engagement
Evidence of exemplary service contributions to the institution, professional organization, and the community. Evidence of community extension services on and off campus, service work such as volunteering for charitable organizations, providing professional expertise for free, serving on committees, conducting outreach programs, and other evidences to support his/her active role to improve the community as a whole.
